The 2019 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship is your 132nd edition of the premier gaelic football tournament since its establishment in 1887 of this GAA.
Thirty three teams took part — thirty-one of the thirty-two Counties of Ireland, London and New York. Kilkenny, as failed to input.
Dublin will be the defending winners; they asserted that the record-equalling fourth consecutive title in 2018, being the fourth team to achieve this feat (the others are Wexford at 1915–18 and Kerry at 1929–32 and 1978–81). Then they are going to eventually become the primary county football club to win five older championships, if Dublin win.
Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster each play a provincial championship. Most teams who lose a game within their tournament go into the qualifiers.
All provincial matches are knock out. Two periods of ten minutes each way are played, When the score is level by the close of their seventy minutes. If the score is still level the tie goes to a playoff game.
